Second day of filming

First day of filming

This was our first day of filming , although we have a clear story board of the shots we would like to create when it came to filming its self there was allot to do positioning getting everything exactly how we wanted and because we only had the cameras booked for the 2hour period during school we did not get as much filmed as we would like as its not as easy as we first thought and took longer than expected. The hardest past i believe is because our music video is performance we need to make sure that its very performance based and the majority of the video will be Chloe performing for our audience but as she is lip singing its very important that we get this correct it was made easier buy the practice we have had with lip syncing but it was still a struggle when looking back over some footage you where unable to see clearly what Chloe was saying if we are going to making this realistic the movement of her mouth  of it has to be clear so when we place the music on top it creates that realist affect , so in this hour we only manage to film the first verse of the song but this allowed us to work on the camera angle to make the performance video its most effective.

this song expresses threw the visual and the lyrics exactly how she feels about the music industry today and the way In which it objectivises women it clearly shows how she is against this as the first lyrics tell us how we will find here in the studio and not in the kitchen a typical assumption that woman belong in the kitchen she addressing this problem in hope that people may listen or making to point that's she not going to follow the stigma of the music industry.

Laura molvey theory can be seen in this video the fact that the videos made for men for men this is shown buy the images we see the explicit cloths that the woman are wearing and the way that they are dancing and the actions that they are portraying such as the sucking on the banana and the man is telling her how to dance we asume that he is the producer of the video encouraging her to dance in this explicit way as

Contingency plans (check grammar)

Working as a group making decisions together is very important and everyone should have there say, playing an equal part in the pre-production of our music video that where sharing the work out equally and everyone is playing there part , we know that we could face some problems on the way if people miss a lesson if they are unwell or unable to attend because of other reasons but to help resolve this problem we all have each others numbers and contact details so everyone can be made aware if a person may not be in and plan around that we can also contact them informing them of the work they missed or the work that they need to do before the next lesson , we also have everyone's email address to send them any more information about the work they need links or PowerPoint so every one can remain on track know one will get left behind.

when it comes to filming only one of our characters  from our group is actually staring in the video,  she is the main character  but we also have back up dancers so if she was ill for the period of filming we will decided on one of the backing dancers to step up and take the part or another member of our group will take the role so we will not be stuck or unable to film. With four in our group we will still have 3 people there ready to be filming and if any one was unable to attend we still have 2 people on cameras we will never be left with limited people that we are not able to film at all so we should always be able to stick to our planning time table.

our ideal place to film may not be available details will be later given but we have a back up place where we can film a similar place in the school would be OK to film its not ideal but still creates a similar image and we like, back up location is needed just encase the first is not available to us.

Change of plan / final treamtent

we our no longer going with the 50 theme that we had original planned but our sticking to a similar story line of that in our animatic we have had to do this because of problems out of our control we ordered our costume on the up coming weeks before Christmas and because of this busy period they predicted a few weeks before our costume and props would arrive but we worked our they should be here just before we return to school after the Christmas period but have not yet arrived and we can longer postpone our film as deadlines are fast approaching and there is still so much to be done such as editing so we our left with no choice but to leave this idea and work with out it.

For our final piece of work, we have again decided to change the structure of the music video and the content in which it contains.

The new piece is now going to be a hybrid, combining both narrative and performance. The narrative scenes will reflect that which is going on within the song whereby the action will match the lyrics or connect with them in some form. The performance will simply be a stage like performance in which one female artist will sing the song. There will also be scenes where the artist is practicing her song with backing instruments to add more realism to the video and to ensure that the audience does not tire of seeing the same thing. Costumes will reflect that of the scene. For example, the performance costume will be a dress worn with heeled shoes to give the impression that she is a well – known and believable singer. The narrative pieces will require each character to wear normal everyday clothes so that the scene looks realistic and also allows the audience to put themselves into the shoes of the actors so that they can understand the scene.

Crew requirements (change)

In order for pre-production and production to be successful we need a reliable crew to share the work load there is a lot of planning and organising that will take place on the up coming weeks before filming and we all have to play our part relaying on each member of the group to do the work that they have been set. Once planning is complete filming will begin we will need all crew to attend so we need them to be flexible with there time as anytime that we can film we will need to in order to get it complete , punctual will be priority if we set a time to meet they well need to meet this time we may be unable to start with out them and if they are not there , time will be wasted not just filming time but other members time will also become a waste as they may be left unable to do anything. crew must be able to use the camera this is likely as this is the second year of media and filming played a large part in the previous years , this will be needed as taking a number of different shots and angles for each seen to give more footage when editing and also a better variety of shot types will be very time consuming and hard work will will have to share the filming taking turns using the cameras for each shot or scene having just one person filming will be unfair on that member we will all have to take our turn and to do this everyone must be able to use the cameras effectively.

Viacom are the owners of MTV, which owns 100% of the company since 1985. its original purpose was to be a hole channel that just plays music guided buy an on air host, its no longer just music videos buy host a large number of reality TV programmes so there channel is no longer only about music but there company still based largely round promoting and sharing up and coming music  They currently have the mtv ema awards every year that nominate the best stars for that year nominated buy the public this gives them a greater idea of what music the viewers are most interested in this also promotes the stars encouraging people to go out listen and watch there music. they have there own TV top 40 uk chart ,the official uk top twenty download chart the weeks top twenty this will be judged buy how many people have brought or listened to the single these are the songs that our mostly played on mtv so the public are choosing the songs  that play on the Chanel shown through the  popularity  .

Google has owned YouTube since 2006 , most of the content on YouTube are videos uploaded buy individuals but also include a large number of music videos this allows people to watch the video at any time they wish and are able to watch it over and over again this is how the videos get there views every time some one watches it they gain a view as shown on Mtv myle cyris reached her 100,million views on YouTube mtv may also use YouTube for there most watched videos of the week determine on how many views the video has. this works buy individuals and company are able to upload music videos that allows access for every one and to upload any video they wish.

for our own music video I feel that the best institution for us would be vevo as it would allow us to be advertise and shown on a number of different formats such a it will be shown on YouTube and there channels meaning that will be introduced to more people so as an up coming star will be made aware of as we will be more out there and interest in our videos will hopefully grow , YouTube would be also beneficial for us as if some one was to subscribe to our page because of the video that they have seen they would be informed automatically about any other videos that we upload so its self advertisement.

Video insperation

I really like these style of animation videos I think they are really cleaver and make the video really interesting I thinks its amazing how they are created and made I know that this style of video would take a long period of time but now questions about it well worth it and the final product shows the effort that has been put into each of these videos. I would love to create this style of video but do not feel such a strongly animated video would be relevant or even flow well with our song but this does not mean that when planning I could try and get smaller forms of animation in the video if I am unable to this will be disappointed as I do really like these video but if it does not work there is nothing we our able to do.

in order to create this type of video or include types of animation we will have to research into the animations created and how we are supposed to do it to make it look as good as these ones or at least of a good quality for our video as with out this research I would be have no idea of how to create this image or animation, as I move thither into our planning process gaining more finalised ideas we will then be able to determine if we will be able to do animation in our music video .
